About

Trudy Barnes received her BA with Honors in History of Science and Anthropology from the University of Florida and her BA with Honors from the Welsh School of Architectural Glass in Swansea, Wales.

Barnes has exhibited her work internationally at New Designers in London and the National Waterfront Museum in Swansea. U.S. exhibitions include the Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara, the Center for Contemporary Printmaking in Norwalk, CT, Kala Art Institute in Berkeley and Brand Library and Art Center in Glendale.

Barnes has received residencies at the Vermont Studio Center, the Women’s Studio Workshop, and Kala Art Institute. She has also been awarded several scholarships and awards. She has been commissioned to create work for private residences in the Greater Bay Area.

Themes of landscape and making connections to place inform the conceptual development of her studio practice. Trudy currently lives and works in Glendale, CA.
